Community and Mission

The Church has a passion for Mission – to share the good news of Jesus at home and overseas.

In addition to supporting Baptist World Mission (the former Baptist Missionary Society) and Home Mission (the support fund for the Baptist Union), our Church is engaged in a number of local outreach events:

“Connect” community coffee morning for all ages (from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesdays in the Community Room). If you’re looking for a warm space with tea, coffee, cake and sandwiches, somewhere to meet people and chat, play games or bring small children, then you’ve found it! Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Entry is free, with donations invited to cover the costs of refreshments.

Flower Arranging Classes, open to anyone, whether a Church member or with no connection to us at all.

Evangelistic Witness in the city centre and the Sharrow Festival.

Christians Against Poverty (CAP): this is a course designed to help you manage your money; again, open to anyone, Church member or not.
